SAMUEL GARDINER MLA (UUP)
Samuel Gardiner was born in March 1940 and is married with two children. Elected to Lurgan Borough Council (now Craigavon) in 1963 he became Mayor for the first time in 1968, and again in 1982/3, 1988/9 and 2000/01. He serves on the Environmental, Leisure Services and Public Services Liaison Committees. He was UUP Assistant Whip and member of the Northern Ireland Forum. Gardiner was an adviser to Sam Foster in the 1998-2003 Assembly. He is a Director of Glenavon Football Club. His interests include fishing and the environment. Gardiner is Party Spokesperson on the Environment. Samuel is Deputy Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Environment Committee in the Assembly.

DOLORES KELLY MLA (SDLP)
Dolores Kelly is married to Eamon, and has four children, three girls and one boy. Educated at St. Michael's Grammar School Lurgan and the University of Ulster, she qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1981. She worked in Craigavon Area Hospital for six years and subsequently as a Day Care Manager. She was first elected to Craigavon Borough Council in 1993 and has served on all council committees. She became the first SDLP Mayor of Craigavon in 1999. She is a member of the Northern Ireland Policing Board and is Party Spokesperson on Equality issues (OFMDFM). First elected as an MLA in 2003, Dolores successfully defended her seat in 2007 after being elected on the eleventh count. Dolores is a member of the Committee for OFMDFM in the Assembly. |

STEPHEN MOUTRAY MLA (DUP)
Stephen Moutray is married with three children. He was educated at Lurgan JHS and Lurgan College. He is partner in a family retail business that consists of a supermarket, sub post office and a petrol station. Stephen joined the DUP in 1979 and is a member of the party executive. He is a member of Craigavon Borough Council and is Vice-Chair of the Environmental Services Committee. He also serves on the Craigavon CCTV Working Group and the Northern Ireland Local Government Association (NILGA). Stephen was first elected as an MLA in 2003, successfully defending his seat in 2007. Stephen is a member of the Regional Development Committee and the Committee for OFMDFM in the Assembly. |

JOHN O'DOWD MLA (SF)
John O’Dowd is leader of the Sinn Féin group on Craigavon Council. He is Chair of Upper Bann Sinn Féin and a member of the Party's Executive. He was elected to the Assembly in 2003 for Upper Bann and he topped the poll in the 2007 Assembly Election. O'Dowd is the Assembly Group Leader at Stormont and the Party Spokesperson on Education. John is also a member of the Education Committee, the Audit Committee and the Assembly and Executive Review Committee.

GEORGE SAVAGE MLA (UUP)
George Savage was born in 1941 and is married with three sons. He is a farmer by profession and is a member of Craigavon Borough Council (Mayor from 1985 to 1987). Savage was elected to serve the constituency of Upper Bann in the Northern Ireland Assembly in June 1998 and after failing to gain election in 2003, was re-elected to the Assembly in 2007. His main area of interest is education and he sits as Chair of the Board of Governors of Donaghcloney Primary School and is a member of the Board of Governors of Warringstown Primary School. Other interests include housing, agriculture and Europe. George is a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and the Committee on Standards and Privileges in the Assembly.

DAVID SIMPSON MP MLA (DUP)
David Simpson is married and a father of three adopted children and was educated at the Belfast College of Business Studies. He is Party Vice Chair and Vice Chair of the party's Victims Committee and Council Association. David is a former Deputy Mayor of Craigavon Council and a member of the Southern Health and Social Services Council. He won the Upper Bann Westminster seat from David Trimble in May 2005. Simpson received answers to 1209 written questions in 2005/2006 - 2nd out of 646 MPs in the House of Commons. David has been an MLA since 2003 and was elected on the first count in the 2007 Assembly Election. Simpson is a member of the Enterprise, Trade and Investment Committee in the Assembly.
