MLA Research Panel

Client Profile and Issue

In October 2007 Stratagem worked alongside colleagues at ComRes, a specialist London-based Research Company, to establish a new MLA research panel.

Our Strategy

The key purpose of the panel research is to improve the communication process between the Assembly and those organisations that are affected by its work.

Once the panel of MLAs has returned their answers, all the data is then collated and presented by ComRes, our partners in London.  MLAs responses are presented in data tables according to community designation, political party, region, date of birth and gender.

Stratagem then writes a full analytical report interpreting the responses complete with graphs, bar charts and action points.  The report is aimed at giving astute guidance on what all of this politically rich information means for your organisation.

Outcome

This has proved to be a very successful tool for organisations in the public, private and third sector.

"The MLA survey allowed us to better focus our strategy for political engagement across the political parties". - Ursula O'Hare, Law Centre NI Assistant Director
