Chris McCreery
Public Affairs Analyst
Chris is a Public Affairs Analyst, having joined the Stratagem team in September 2009. In his role, Chris delivers monitoring and tailored research to a range of clients, which includes daily monitoring of the media, analysis of Assembly and Parliamentary activity as well as the coverage of Assembly Committees. Currently Chris supports clients in the areas of housing, environment, equality, criminal justice and issues affecting older people.
Chris is responsible for the Weekly Political Update which gives clients an insight into what has happened in the Assembly in the week just past and what is coming up in the week ahead. Chris is also responsible for the Ageing Programme Political Update. Chris also contributes to the updating of the Stratagem website and the provision of other Stratagem information services such as news flashes and the SMS text message service.
Chris received a BA in Politics from Queen's University, Belfast in 2006 where he focused on international politics and the effect of democracy in developing nations. After his studies, Chris spent a year travelling and then came back to Northern Ireland to work at the Northern Ireland Assembly where he was a Clerical Officer for the Committee for Finance and Personnel, assisting members by collating information to assist in their weekly meetings
