Ian Hunter
Public Affairs Analyst

Ian is a Public Affairs Analyst and has been working in Stratagem since 2007 when he was accepted onto the Stratagem internship scheme.
Ian has responsibility for supporting a wide range of clients including Stratagem's energy clients, the University of Ulster, Translink, and the League Against Cruel Sports, as well as for compiling Stratagem's weekly Energy Monitor.
As part of Ian's work with energy clients and Translink, he writes a weekly Energy Monitor and a monthly Transport Monitor. Ian also contributes to the updating of the Stratagem website and the provision of other Stratagem information services such as news flashes and the SMS text message service.
Before leaving Queen's University Ian was awarded a British Council scholarship to study business, economics and international relations at the College of Wooster, Ohio in 2006. He was awarded an honorary recommendation from the College for his academic and extra-curricular activities.
During his final year at University, Ian undertook an independent research project which analysed the media and public relations strategies of the DUP and Sinn Féin during the 2007 Assembly elections and how the advertising campaigns of the two parties have evolved since the Good Friday Agreement. He was awarded the Esther Balentine Award for his academic efforts from the English and History departments at Queen's University.
Ian is currently undertaking a Master's in European Integration and Public Policy at Queen's University and is currently researching the relationships which exist between local Government bodies and European institutions.
