Claire Flynn

Claire is a Consultant with Stratagem and joined the company in October of 2005.  She is responsible for delivering advice and support to a number of clients through preparing strategies on public affairs and communications. 

Claire currently provides support to a wide range of clients across a number of sectors.  Some of these clients include Diabetes UK, Translink and the Sharing Education Partnership.  Claire also works with a wide number of age sector organisations through the Atlantic Philanthropies Ageing Programme including Engage with Age, Workers' Education Association, UnLtd, Age NI and Age Sector Platform.  She has also worked with the Institute of Directors on its NICrunchTalk blog initiative and with Slugger O'Toole on its annual Political Awards ceremony.

In 2007, Claire worked alongside London-based polling company ComRes to establish the MLA Research Panel - the only such panel of MLAs in existence.  Claire continues to manage the MLA Research Panel which has proved to be an extremely useful tool for many organisations across all sectors.  

In 2009, Claire worked on the redesign of Stratagem's website and continues to work on its development and the development. 

As well as managing a number of staff, Claire forms part of Stratagem's Management Team which is responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation. 

Prior to becoming a Consultant, Claire was an Information Manager at Stratagem and responsible for the information and knowledge systems within the company. 

Before joining Stratagem, Claire worked in both Washington DC and London.  After graduating in 2000, Claire obtained a political science internship with a lobbying firm in Washington DC.  She worked as a Researcher and Executive Assistant for Liz Robbins Associates and in 2002 moved to McLeod Watkinson and Miller as a Researcher and Government Relations Coordinator. In 2005, Claire returned to the UK to work in Public Affairs in London for Butera & Andrews, a Washington DC based law firm.

Claire studied Psychology with Organisational Science at the University of Ulster at Magee in Derry and in 1999 graduated with a BSc (Honours) degree. Claire also holds a Master of Science degree in Computing and Information Systems from the University of Ulster at Jordanstown.

Claire is a graduate of the Common Purpose Navigator and Meridian Leadership Development Programmes.  In 2008, she completed an Advanced Diploma in Management Practice at the University of Ulster at Jordanstown which included an Executive Management course at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
