CATHAL BOYLAN MLA (SF)
Cathal Boylan has been on Armagh City and District Council since 2005. He is currently the Sinn Féin Party Group Leader for Armagh Council. He is also Vice Chairperson of both the East Border Region Partnership and the Local Strategy Partnership (LSP). Cathal also sits on the Keady Regeneration Committee. A lifelong resident of Keady, he is an active member of the local GAA Club, where he has been involved in coaching and underage football for many years. He was the Director of Elections for the Crossmore Ward, and was an integral part of Conor Murphy’s successful campaign to become MP for Newry and Armagh in 2005. Cathal became an MLA in 2007 when he polled over 7,000 votes and was elected on the first count for the Newry & Armagh constituency. Cathal is Deputy Chair of the Environment Committee and a member of the Regional Development Committee in the Assembly. Cathal is Party Spokesperson for Planning issues.

DOMINIC BRADLEY MLA (SDLP)
Dominic Bradley was educated at Abbey CBS Newry, Queen's University and studied for his MA at the University of Ulster. A former teacher, he became a Curriculum Field Officer in Languages for the SELB. He was Head of the Irish Department and on the Management Curriculum Committee at St. Paul's High School. As a member of the SDLP for over twenty years he has acted as Director of Elections for Seamus Mallon and for the party in the Newry and Mourne Council area. Dominic has been an MLA since he was elected in 2003 and he was returned again in 2007 elected on the seventh count. Dominic is Deputy Chair of the Education Committee and a member of the Culture, Arts and Leisure Committee in the Assembly. Dominic is Party Spokesperson on Education.

MICKY BRADY MLA (SF)
Born in the Ballybot area of Newry, Micky Brady has worked for many years as a welfare rights officer representing individuals, families and community-based organisations. Brady was elected as an MLA in 2007 alongside two other Sinn Féin candidates Conor Murphy MP MLA and Cathal Boylan MLA. He polled over 6,000 votes and was elected on the fourth count. Micky is a member of the Social Development Committee and the Committee on Procedures in the Assembly. He is Party Spokesperson on Welfare Rights and the Elderly.

WILLIAM IRWIN MLA (DUP)
William Irwin was elected as MLA for Newry and Armagh in 2007 on the fifth count. He is currently Mayor of Armagh and within the Armagh City and District Council he holds the position of vice chairperson of the Public Service Liaison Committee. Irwin also sits on the Regeneration and Development Committee and has a strong interest in the environment and health. He runs his own farming business and is a committed Christian. William is a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and Regional Development Committee in the Assembly.

DANNY KENNEDY MLA (UUP)
Danny Kennedy was born in 1959 and was educated at Newry High School. He is married with two sons and one daughter. He is a former employee of British Telecom. He was first elected to Newry and Mourne District Council in 1985. Kennedy was a member of the Northern Ireland Policing Board from 2006 - 2007. He is Deputy Leader of the Ulster Unionist Party and is Chair of the Committee for the Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister and a member of the Assembly Executive Review Committee in the Assembly.

CONOR MURPHY MP MLA (SF)
Conor Murphy was born in 1963 and was educated at St Colman's in Newry and at Queen's University Belfast where he studied for an MA in Irish Politics. He is married with one son and one daughter. Before entering politics, Murphy was employed as a project manager for South Armagh PoWs Project. He was a Councillor on Newry and Mourne District Council until 1997. He was elected as MP for Newry & Armagh in 2005. In the 2007 Assembly Election Murphy topped the poll and helped bring his two Sinn Féin running mates with him. Murphy is Minister for Regional Development in the Executive.
