BILLY ARMSTRONG MLA (UUP)
Billy Armstrong was born in 1943 and is married with two sons and two daughters. He was educated at Cookstown Secondary School. He currently works as a farmer and was an RUC Reservist between 1975 and 1989. Billy is also a past Worshipful Master, Treasurer and Secretary of the Royal Black Perceptory. In the Assembly, Billy sits on the Environment Committee and as Deputy Whip of the UUP also sits on the Business Committee. He has been an MLA since 1998 and in the 2007 Assembly Election was the final representative elected for the Mid Ulster constituency on the seventh count.

IAN MCCREA MLA (DUP)
Ian McCrea was born in 1976 in Magherafelt and now lives in Coagh with his wife and three children. McCrea is the son of DUP MP William McCrea. McCrea was elected to Cookstown District Council in 2001, and is a member of Cookstown District Policing Partnership. He also holds directorships of the Local Strategy Partnership in Cookstown, and the Dungannon and Cookstown Business Education Partnership. A former member of the Young Democrats, McCrea is now Chairperson of the Cookstown DUP Branch, and of the party's Local Government Association also in Cookstown. A member of the Apprentice Boys of Derry he also acts as Chairperson of Coagh United Supporters Club. Ian was elected to the Assembly in 2007, finishing second in first preference votes behind Sinn Féin Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness MP MLA. McCrea is a member of the Environment Committee, the Assembly Executive Review Committee and the Public Accounts Committee in the Assembly. McCrea is also Chair of Cookstown District Council. |

MARTIN McGUINNESS MP MLA (SF)
Martin McGuinness was born in May 1950 in Derry. He is married to Bernie and they have four children. He attended the Christian Brothers' Technical College in Derry and left at 15 to become a butcher's assistant. He joined Sinn Féin in 1970 and is now the party’s Chief Negotiator. He was elected MP for Mid-Ulster in 1997. He served as Minister for Education in the 1998-2003 Assembly. McGuinness sits alongside First Minister Ian Paisley as Deputy First Minister.

PATSY McGLONE MLA (SDLP)
Patsy McGlone was first elected to Cookstown District Council in 1993, and serves as its Chairperson. Between 1999 and 2002 he served as Chair of the SDLP's Association of Councillors and is a former party General Secretary. He was Vice-President of the Northern Ireland Local Government Association (NILGA) but resigned in 2006 due to his objection of Lord Rooker’s change in legislation on the building of single homes in rural areas. He has been involved at Board level with Foras na Gaeilge, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and the Northern Ireland Housing Council. He is Party Spokesperson on the Irish language and Community Affairs. Patsy has served as an MLA since 2003 and increased his share of the vote in the 2007 Assembly Election. Patsy is Chair of the Environment Committee in the Assembly.

FRANCIE MOLLOY MLA (SF)
Francie Molloy was born in 1950 and is married with two daughters and two sons. He was educated in St Patrick's, Dungannon and Newry Further Education College. Molloy is a former fitter welder and a member (former Mayor) of Dungannon and South Tyrone Council. Francie was suspended from the party in November 2005 for not taking the party line on the Review of Public Administration (RPA) although he was reinstated in January 2006. Francie has been an MLA since 1998 and in 2007 he polled his highest number of votes ever in an Assembly Election and was comfortably elected on the first count. Molloy is a Deputy Speaker in the Assembly and a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and the OFMDFM Committee. Francie is Party Spokesperson on Victims.

MICHELLE O'NEILL MLA (SF)
Michelle was a Political Advisor to Francie Molloy MLA from 1998. She was then elected to Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council in 2005 and was the first woman to take on the role of Deputy Mayor. Michelle has an interest in rural issues and is a keen supporter of rural regeneration. She has a strong background in social welfare issues and is a qualified welfare rights advisor and is married with two children. Her electoral breakthrough came in the Assembly Election of 2007 when she was elected on the first count polling over 6,000 votes. Michelle is Party Spokesperson on health and disability issues and is Deputy Chair of the Health, Social Services and Public Safety Committee in the Assembly. She also sits on the Assembly's Education Committee and is Deputy-Chair of the All-party Assembly Group on Autism.
