Howard Salisbury – Information Officer
Howard has been with Stratagem since February 2007. With his work covering daily media monitoring and analysis of Assembly and Parliamentary activity, Howard is responsible for both the Weekly Political Update and the Assembly Bulletin. Specialising in energy issues, including fuel poverty, Howard writes the monthly energy and transport monitor whilst working on a number of projects linked to Northern Ireland's cultural heritage.
Originally from Nottingham, Howard studied politics at Newcastle University where he specialised in Middle Eastern studies and the cultural politics of the US. Upon graduating he worked as an assistant to an MP in Toronto, Canada, before going on to complete an LLM (Hons) in Corporate Governance at Queen's University, Belfast.
Before joining Stratagem Howard was a researcher for Amnesty International. During his time there he compiled a frequently asked question guide on refugees and asylum seekers which has since been distributed to all Northern Ireland journalists and politicians.
In February 2008 Howard completed a two week course on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Boston College where he visited a number of experts in CSR, in both Massachusetts and California. Since then Howard has worked alongside colleagues on Stratagem’s CSR policy.
